code_swarm – created by Michael Ogawa with Processing.
This visualization, called code_swarm, shows the history of commits in a software project. A commit happens when a developer makes changes to the code or documents and transfers them into the central project repository. Both developers and files are represented as moving elements. When a developer commits a file, it lights up and flies towards that developer. Files are colored according to their purpose, such as whether they are source code or a document. If files or developers have not been active for a while, they will fade away. A histogram at the bottom keeps a reminder of what has come before.

Liked the video. Liked the sound. All in all, a good, creative work.
Lat week I have been relatively busy with all sorts of projects and things to do. Nevertheless, I’ve managed to collect all kinds of interesting things which I hope I will have time to publish them all on Hakiri. The following post is most about creative advertising. I am quite bored of traditional adverts so all of the currently displayed ads come very fresh, indeed.

Two amazing videos on the creative process. The way of the hacker is the way of the creative mind. But what creativity can do?
It can communicate, It can conserve, Creativity can captivate, It can make you comfortable, It can make you uncomfortable, It can define a nation, It can define a generation, Creativity can open a mind, It can transform, It can make life easier, It can move you, It can stop you in your tracks, It can last an eternity, What else can creativity do?
The second video gets into some of the interesting aspects of what creativity is. I think that it is quite spot on.
